I am a former journalist and bookseller, who now writes books for a living.

Writing is difficult work. Whether you are George Orwell or a student at school, the English language is not easy to master.

How can I help? I use my experience as a professional editor to help pupils to revise and improve their own work. I also use my experience as a published author to encourage resilience and perseverance when structuring and navigating longer pieces such as essays.

As an English literature graduate and former bookseller, I can also bring a world of reading to inform literary analysis and appreciation.
