Advert description
Hello! My name is Lottie, I am a 24-year-old Art and English tutor with experience in mental health, including autism, ADHD, dyslexia and similar conditions.
I have been working with young people and tutoring since 2018 and very much enjoy helping students progress in their studies and become confident with English.
I can do in-person sessions at your home or online sessions. I am very flexible and more than willing to help in any way possible.
As an experienced educator, I recognise the importance of creating a comfortable and relaxed learning environment for my students. In my lessons, I prioritise conversation and discussion, allowing students to engage with the material in a way that is not possible in a formal classroom setting. By doing so, students can learn with ease and without the added pressure of a high-stress environment.
I have found that this approach not only helps students better retain information but also builds their confidence in their language skills. By providing a space for open dialogue, students are more likely to ask questions and seek clarification, leading to a deeper understanding of the material. Lessons can also be provided to larger groups if this is of interest to students- especially those uncomfortable in 1-1 scenarios.
I am experienced with home education, catch-up sessions, art workshops and exam preparation.
In addition to this, I am also a qualified Arts Award Centre and can deliver the Arts Award program- allowing you to receive a qualification and portfolio that can work brilliantly in future job applications.
Personalised catch-up sessions are available upon request if students require lessons on particular topics such as Shakespeare, poetry anthologies, grammar or specific novels.
Discounts apply to those who book lessons in blocks of five or more.
Do not hesitate to get in contact if you have a specific query or request- I am always more than happy to accommodate students' needs.
I look forward to meeting you!
