Experienced grade 9 computer science at GCSE and A* at A-level tutor

My lessons are highly tailored to the student’s needs, and provide a strong 1-to-1 experience to ensure that your child’s needs are met.

I will use the first few lessons to assess your child’s weaknesses and strengths, and then provide them work and explain topics that they do not understand.

Work covered in the previous session will be reviewed at the start of the session, to ensure that the concept has been understood and is likely to be remembered in the future. This will then be followed by the topic which your child wishes to practice or assistance with their homework as preferred. I can also do a mix of homework and revision with your child, though this would be best over a longer session.

I will also discuss with the student what they would like to cover in the following week, and prepare for this accordingly.

I am also happy to help with homework and give guidance on the assignment as needed, to support your child’s learning, and give tips on how to remember relevant techniques.

My lessons are focused on positive feedback, to encourage students to do the best they can. I believe that it is important to work with a positive mindset, and so I try to provide a stress-free experience with rewards at the end of each session, which will encourage them to do well.

I can also discuss exam techniques and revision methods with your child, in hopes that it will improve their long-term performance, as I performed well in my exams through the methods that I used.
