Enthusiastic Maths & Science Tutor

Hello! My name is Rifat and I am currently a final year student doctor/medical student at the University of Southampton. I have also recently completed a Bachelors of Science in Sports and Exercise Medicine at Queen Mary's University London. I believe I have a vast amount of knowledge regarding maths and the sciences. Being at medical school, there is a huge promotion in near peer teaching where students help other students. As I am a student, I find that I am able to make certain topics make sense to other fellow students.

I am an experienced tutor, who has been teaching children from various walks of life for the past 8 years. My lessons consists of me breaking complicated concepts into more simple terms by using power-points, online whiteboards and flashcards. To consolidate what your child has been taught, we go through worksheets together as well past papers; by testing the student, we can see how much they have retained thus how much progress we have made. Subsequently, we can draw out their weaknesses on the relevant topic and make a targeted plan together and see where they are having difficulty in their understanding. Upon request, I give relevant homework.

I can also guide and give advice to your child if they are aspiring to be a future medical doctor (helping with the UKCAT, BMAT, personal statement and medical interviews).
