GCSE & A-Levels tuition by a highly qualified and experienced tutor

I am a highly qualified Chemistry Lecturer and Researcher with 25+ years of experience in Teaching & Tutoring in classrooms and online.

I keep updating my knowledge on Chemistry and Environmental Science and keep enhancing my teaching style by carrying out CPD courses offered by prestigious universities online so that I can provide the best tuition to my students.

In the UK I have been teaching / tutoring these subjects:

• Chemistry: GCSE, IGCSE, A Levels; IB; National 5, Higher and Advanced Higher level.

• Environmental Science: National 5 and Higher level; HND.

• I have an Enhanced DBS Certificate Certificate and a Level 2 Certificate on “Safeguarding Children”.

MY TUTORING METHODOLOGY:
My lessons are 60 minutes long. I use the interactive method in a highly engaging and friendly atmosphere.

I help students with:

- filling their knowledge gaps
- preparation for exams
- problem-solving techniques

During the lesson I ask students to share with me problems that they find difficult to solve and I go through those problems with them, step by step, assisting them to find out the solution.

I keep note of their knowledge gaps during this process and help them by providing the theoretical basis necessary for problem-solving.

I give them extra examples and help them become confident by solving similar exam-like problems.

MY EDUCATION:
I have a BSc in Industrial Chemistry; an MSc in Environmental Change and Management; and a PhD in Environmental Chemistry.

I have been qualified and have carried out research at various Universities, such as: Oxford University (UK); Polytechnic University of Bari (Italy); University of California - Riverside (USA); University of Tirana (Albania); Central European University in Budapest (Hungary) etc.

In the UK I also have studied for and received the Certificate for a Level 3 Diploma in Teaching and for an Advanced Diploma in Coaching and Mentoring.

I have 17+ years experience of teaching Chemistry at the BSc level; 3+ years experience of teaching Environmental Science at the MSc level and 4+ years experience of teaching Environmental Science at the HND level.
