Hello! :)
I teach online (mainly) as well as face to face, and live in the Newark-on-Trent area of Nottinghamshire.
I'm Farah and I have over 5 years of experience in teaching English literature, English language, ESOL and EFL as well as functional skills, humanities subjects and social sciences. I also teach Maths and Sciences to age 12.
I teach adults and children, and have teaching qualifications in both (Montessori MCI, PTTLS, CELTA). I can also offer support with essay writing at university level and in learning better academic skills and habits.
If English is your second language, I would be more than happy to help you improve your English and learn the academic skills required for UK universities. I can help you prepare, also, for the IELTS Academic exam.
I have a degree in English from the University of Sussex and a Masters in English from Goldsmiths College, University of London.
My approach is compassionate and hardworking with a student-focused attitude of discussing what goals and objectives. . I will make sure we keep checking-in on which areas you want more support on, and discussing your learning journey to make sure you play an active part in setting and agreeing to learning objectives for yourself or your child.
I teach classes at the NACEL English School in Finchley and tutor students online via a company called Preply. I am also a Montessori teacher for primary level pupils (age 5+). I also tutor here, on FindTutors, of course :)
