Two easy ways to remember your 9 times table!!

Simply write 0 to 9 down the page, then write 0 to 9 up the page, right next to the numbers you just wrote. You should have something that looks like this:

09

18

27

36

45

54

63

72

81

90

Look at the first column -- it is 0 to 9 from top to bottom! The second column is 0 to 9 from bottom to top! The rows will give you the 9 times table from 1x9 to 9x10 !!

The second way can be done on your fingers. Hold up all 10 in front of you. If you want to 1x9, put down your first finger from left to right (your left hand pinky). That will show you 9 fingers left on the right. So 1x9 is 9. If you want 2x9, put down your second finger from left to right (your left hand ring finger). That will leave 1 and 8 fingers showing on each side of the finger you put down, so 2x9 is 18. Continuing on, if you want 3x9, put down your third finger from left to right (your left hand middle finger). That will leave 2 and 7 fingers showing on each side of the finger you put down, so 3x9 is 27. You can continue this pattern by putting down the fourth, fifth, sixth, seventh, eigth, ninth and tenth fingers and seeing how many fingers you have on each side of the finger you put down, to give you the answer to the nine times table!
