We can help you become a confident Spanish speaker!

Immersing yourself into a new language and culture can be gruelling. From my own personal experience abroad, it was sometimes so tempting just to stick to what I knew, including staying put with the English-speaking expat herd. We often take for granted that wherever we go, our language and culture can be universally understood. WRONG!

Many expats abroad live with:

  • Missed business opportunities because they don’t understand the foreign culture and language
  • Inefficiency and lack of productivity caused by lack of comprehension
  • Paying higher prices as a result of being labelled a “gringo/guiri” (foreigner)
  • Excruciating, cringeworthy situations where the most basic communication is severely restricted
  • Not feeling fulfilled and an avoidance of an achievable challenge

Instead of taking the "toro" by the horns and making the best outcome possible, they accept their self-imposed status quo just because of some simple hurdles that can be overcome such as:

  • Learning the required habits and skills needed to succeed
  • Finding the courage to take risks
  • Discovering the resources that will accompany their Spanish-learning journey for the rest of their lives

So, how can you kick-start your confidence in speaking Spanish?

It’s actually very simple if you follow these steps:

1. Change your mindset.

The most likely reason you’re not a confident Spanish speaker is because you’re depending too much on English. You need to be putting your best foot forward every single day, and that means steering away from English, bit by bit, day by day. Learn Spanish in the same way a toddler learns its maternal tongue, and have trust in your instincts. Don’t be scared, you will learn a lot quicker as a result.

2. Get out of your comfort zone.

To immerse yourself in Spanish is to be successful with it. Have you ever listened to your own voice? Have you ever recorded yourself speaking Spanish? Do you have your phone, computer, and Sat Nav settings in Spanish? If not, is that something you’re prepared to change? Are you willing to watch an entire movie in Spanish with no subtitles?

3. Take consistent action

Everyone gets excited and motivated at the start. But the people who win the most are the people that keep that going. There'll be good days and bad days, but there'll always be more days.

It took me years to work it out, but this doesn’t need to be you. Having lived in both Spain and Colombia for the best part of a decade, I have gone through the aches and pains of mastering two different matrixes. I have passed on my knowledge to people just like you, helping them to garner the right tools and skill sets to make quick strides in their hispanic speaking country so that they can...

  • Release their inner confidence to allow them to smash all their goals
  • Improve their understanding of Spanish language and culture to avoid any embarrassing bloopers
  • Effortlessly engage in meaningful conversations with native Spanish speakers
  • Handle everyday tasks without relying on English translations
