Advert description
I am a dedicated and enthusiastic educator. I believe that all children have the right to learn and enjoy their education. I get a real sense of achievement from my profession when I see a child reach their potential.
I have recently finished my MSc in child development from University College London, Institute of Education, which has been voted number one for education for the past ten years. In addition, I have a BA (Hons) degree in Early Childhood Studies and a level three diploma in childcare and education. From my studies I have been able to learn theory and put it into my practice. In addition, I have been able to critically evaluate current research in child development.
I have diverse teaching experience gained as a Head teacher of a Preschool in Abuja, Nigeria, and as a Preschool Room Leader in Notting Hill, London. Furthermore, I have eight years’ experience in various Governess roles, home-tutoring and nannying. As an early year’s professional, I have been a positive role-model for children.
Alongside my master studies, I have been teaching online part-time. I became an online tutor in 2020 during the pandemic. I previously taught many of my students face-to-face. I have also acquired new students from parents recommending my services. Currently I teach students in India, the Philippines, China, South Korea, and the UK. I have gained valuable skills converting my face-to-face experience into an online classroom. I believe that the teacher-student bond is important, and this still applies online. In addition, I try to teach through their interests and add educational games to enhance their enjoyment. I regularly keep the parents updated with their child’s progress. I ensure that my student’s feel respected and get a sense of achievement. Learning can not take place without mistakes, and I ensure that all my students feel comfortable having a try, even if they are not sure. My masters gave me an insight into learning online as a student, as my first term was delivered online. I believe this greatly enhanced my awareness for my own students.
