Native speaking English teacher with CELTA qualification and ten years' experience. I love to help my students reach their goals!

I am a friendly and enthusiastic teacher of English as a foreign language, with experience of teaching students with a wide range of first languages at all levels. I have taught group and one-to-one classes in academies, and currently teach online via Skype or Zoom. I tailor my classes to your needs, whether that be to focus on improving grammar, vocabulary and pronunciation in General English classes, or to gain confidence in using Business English, preparing for a job interview, developing academic English, or preparing for exams such as FCE, CAE or IELTS.
I am dedicated to each individual I teach, and aim to create interesting learning environment that is also fun and relaxed, with language that is taught in relevant contexts using a range of different learning resources such as songs, videos, games, role-plays, discussions and more traditional texts and exercises.
In the first class we will get to know each other a little, and discuss your strengths and weaknesses. and what you want to achieve. I have learnt Spanish myself, and so understand the challenges of learning a new language and can help you to stay motivated. I also have some expertise in teaching Spanish students, having lived in Madrid and Barcelona in the past.
If your focus is conversation and general English, during class you will have a lot of talking time, and I will ask you plenty of questions to ensure that you make the most of your time to practice. I will correct your mistakes and help you to avoid repeating them, knowing that it is important to overcome the fear of making mistakes and to try using English in order to improve more quickly.
I can set homework as suits you, your lifestyle and the amount of time you have available at home.
