I have bachelor's master's in pure mathematics. I have tutored students of age 11+ since 2017. I have 3 years experience as assistant professor in reputed college in Goa, India. I have both online and offline experience. As a student I've seen students running away from mathematics making it student phobic subject. Being interested in teaching it was always my aim to change the perspective, getting students engaged, appreciating the beauty of mathematics and making them fall in love with the subject. I have Always tried and made mathematics interesting for my students. Learning about student's interest and winning their attention was my main focus. Conducting various math related games and quizzes the students started engaging very well. After pandamic hit and education was switched online. Students started loosing interest in studies let alone mathematics. Which is when I started with teaching concepts with pen tablet and using Google boards so that the inputs in solving problems would be both sides. I also conducted online games and used various Ice breakers to grab their attention. It was basically turned to more student oriented classes where students work more than teacher on any given problem. I've also conducted math fest having 4-6 math related events in this festival. My repo with other teachers have been amazing that both the heads of institute gave a wonderful reference for the second master's degree I am apparently pursuing at UEA in mathematics education. This course will definitely help me update and upgrade my skills to the level of excellence and also work on my research goals.
