The first 5-15 minutes of the lesson will be spent going over the homework set in the previous lesson.
After that, the student can ask about any specific questions they struggled with at school, in past papers, in their homework or in their independent revision.
The main body of the lesson however, will be based on a combination of the student's ability and the specification for their exam board if applicable. Depending on this, I will either introduce the student to new topics or go over previous ones they struggled with.
There will be time in the lesson for the student to attempt exercises to see whether they understood what I was explaining, but I will be present to guide them through the questions if they feel unsure.
If the student wants to focus on a specific topic, please request this before the lesson so I can plan accordingly.
Quizzes will sometimes be used to check understanding.
In terms of content, personally most of my GCSEs were from the edexcel exam board ( with only French and Further Maths being AQA and Food Tech being OCR) but I believe most exam boards cover very similar content. I will continue to keep the lesson plans relevant to the pupil's exam board (if applicable) and if I lack knowledge on any subject matter I will teach myself the content before the next lesson so I can explain it to the student next time where possible.
I'm also very good with kids so I would also love to tutor primary school children as well as students in year 7-11.

In terms of Achievements, I've received many of my school's prestigious accolades, namely for Biology, Chemistry and English Literature in the last few years.
