I love to come up with practice problems and focus on repetition of a concept. Coming from an athletic background, I find that repetition and variation are the best ways to instill conceptual fluency in any task. We will start with more simple problems and work up to more abstract and elaborate ones to test your proficiency. I love conversation and questioning about topics and I’m never afraid to admit if I don’t know something. The last thing you want is someone pretending to know something, and teaching you to do it incorrectly. If I feel someone isn’t fully grasping a concept, I have no issues in slowing down our learning to make sure that we are learning and not just memorizing. At the end of the day, education is our foundation of how we view the world around us. I never get into politics and choose to focus on what the learner needs help with. I like to learn about their interests so I can try to come up with relevant examples that will help them understand. I am also very open to criticism.
