I sat my A-levels in 2022, and gained an A* in the subject. I am currently in my third year of university, studying biology. Having sat A-level exams myself relatively recently, I not only have a fresh memory of the course but also of the stresses and struggles that a student faces during those times. I therefore would approach each lesson with an empathetic understanding of each students situation and would hope to not only serve as a tutor of biology but also as a confidant in those stressful times.

Lessons will be completely tailored to the student needs. If a student is struggling with certain concepts of the course, then a lesson will be planned in order to improve their understanding. This will comprise of going through the necessary material and how the student can best revise this. Quick fire questions, as well as past-paper questions will be used in order to check the students understanding. This also works as a great revision tool! If a student wants to become more exam-ready, then I will go though past exam papers and familiarise them with the associated mark schemes. This not only improves exam technique, but also allows for the identification of weaker areas within the students understanding. This allows for the appropriate lessons to be put in place, in order to fill those gaps in knowledge.

I believe it is important to have strong communication between myself and the student in order to maximise what they can get out of each lesson.
