I like to take an interactive approach where students engage in activities and conversation. My classes usually involve material to help students enhance their English levels as well as practice and review. Classes may vary slightly depending on which aspect of English learning it may be tailored to (Speaking, Listening, Reading, Writing). It may consist of worksheets, Powerpoint presentations, videos, etc.

Lessons may also be slightly different depending on class size and goals of the course as well as preferences of students and parents if applicable.

I have experience teaching students of all levels and age ranges from preschool to adults, from phonics, sentence structure, and grammar; to essays, debates, and business.

I am more inclined to teaching speaking and writing; helping students improve their public speaking and presentation skills; as well as writing essays, planning and organizing their thought processes, brainstorming topics and how to develop essays on a given topic. I have also had experience teaching debate topics where I help students think and analyze controversial topics and how to think or respond to ideas.

I also have IB PYP certification where it helps improve the way of thinking for children to prepare them for society as they grow in areas of STEM with regards to inquiry based learning.

In addition to preparing students for post secondary education with training in IELTS and TOEFL, I also tutored high school in courses such as English and Social Studies; as well as Business classes for university.

Finally, I also had corporate clients with my experience at Intel where students were software engineers and topics covered included Business English in areas of speaking and presentation skills and an emphasis in western culture.
