I am a native Spanish speaker from Madrid. I have a Bachelors Degree in Modern Foreign Languages Spanish-English-French, and a Post Graduate Degree in Education (QTS) in MFL.
I am a communicative, lively, understanding and patient person. As a native speaker, I have an excellent command of Spanish language placing considerable emphasis on on good pronunciation, and good manipulation of grammar and vocabulary in my lessons, as a means to successful language acquisition.
I monitor and secure student's progress; I have high expectations of effort and work.
For the last ten years I have worked as a Spanish teacher in a wide variety of schools, both independent and maintained, teaching years 7 to 13.
At the same time I worked as an online Spanish tutor with GCSE and A level students.
In June 2022 I worked as an AQA Spanish examiner for the GCSE examining boards.
I am flexible and adaptable to what the student requires.
In my lessons we practice reading, listening, speaking and writing skills.
We use Power Points, Word documents, You Tube, textbooks and workbooks for learning and practice of skills, as well as authentic Spanish materials such as Spanish reading books, Spanish songs or articles related to what the student is learning .
