I've been a primary and secondary teacher of Spanish and French for 16 years; I have a Post Graduate Certificate of Education (PGCE) in Spanish and French from the Institute of Education and an Undergraduate Languages Degree in Spanish, Portuguese and Latin American Studies from the University of Newcastle upon Tyne. I have lots of experience teaching beginners (ab-initio) all the way up to GCSE and A-level and have taught students from the ages of of 8-18. I really enjoy teaching languages, especially Spanish, having learnt at school, at university and beyond. I became motivated to learn having travelled to a variety of countries in South America and spent time living in Spain too. I enjoy planning lessons to suit the needs of my students and motivating them to progress, as well as helping them to build confidence. I focus on listening, reading, speaking and writing skills, as well as specific elements of grammar. I can tailor lesson to help you learn, according to your goals. I will help you improve your general conversation and focus on a wide range of topics in real life situations too, no matter your level of Spanish.
