I am currently studying piano with a concert pianist in London. I have been teaching for over a year to both beginners and those already proficient. This has included students up to grade 8.

I am familiar with the ABRSM syllabus and I aim to deliver all aspects of it as prescribed: repertoire, aural, and sightreading. However, I also like to provide extended work on theory and interpretation as necessary.

I have also done performance preparation with A Level and GCSE students which are effectively 1 off sessions where I diagnose as many problems as I can and provide solutions as well as potentially introducing new ideas in terms of interpretation and stylistic approaches.

Personally I take a fundamental technical approach towards piano and I pass this onto my students. I aim to develop a students technique and ability to produce a desired sound as the first thing before discussing interpretation.
